![]() ![]() ![]() Is it norm for 40k change on these air filter? Seems kinda long. Should i take it back to the dealer for engine air filter cause as per the maintenance doc it seems to be covered under the first 3 years. The reason I ask is cause i just got my 30K/3 year service done on my 2021 x7 (not M) and the only thing that was done extra was brake fluid replacement as per the CBS. I am going through the maintenance schedule document and all i see is that it would need to be done at every oil change on and is included as part of the 3 year maintenance service on page 16. Just out of curiosity where does it mention that engine air filter needs to be replaced every 4th service or 40k miles? Will they change the spark plugs at my 6th service at 56k miles (4k miles earlier than the scheduled 60k miles)? Thanks in advance! When i get to my 4th service appointment, which will likely be around 36k miles, will the dealership also change my engine air filter at that time (4k miles earlier than 40k miles)? Or will they change the oil at 36k miles and then make me come back at 40k miles to get the engine air filter changed? Same situation would happen regarding the spark plugs at my 6th service - oil will need changed around 56k miles. So I expect to be in for the next oil change around 26k miles, then 36k, and so on. The service records indicate the second service (standard scope, engine oil service and cabin microfilters) was done at 16k miles. I recently purchased a new-to-me certified pre-owned 2021 X7 M50i. PinkNinja400Guy - Thanks very much for sharing this information- it is very helpful.
